Tracey Treks for Shelter – Again!
In 2023, Tracey embarked on a life-changing trek for shelter through Ecuador, dedicating herself to raising awareness and funds for the prevention and alleviation of intimate partner violence in Canada. Through her determination and passion for the cause, Tracey raised a total of $22,835. Of this amount, 80% went directly to Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region, which provides vital support through their two shelters—Anselma House in Kitchener and Haven House in Cambridge. The remaining funds were donated to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, which helps fund abuse prevention education programs for youth across Canada, ensuring that the next generation is equipped to recognize and combat domestic violence.
But Tracey’s journey doesn’t end there. In October 2025, she will embark on another challenging trek, this time in Cambodia, to continue her mission of raising funds and awareness for domestic violence prevention and survivor support. Her unwavering commitment to this cause is truly inspiring.
What makes Tracey’s efforts even more remarkable is that she personally covers 100% of her trekking costs. This means that every single dollar donated goes directly to supporting the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation and its vital mission to fund women’s shelters and domestic violence prevention programs. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation has been a powerful force in the fight against domestic violence since 1998, raising over $51 million to date for these crucial programs.
