A form of property ownership in Ontario in which the buyer holds full title to both the land and all structures on it, with no shared ownership obligations to a corporation or association. Freehold properties — such as detached, semi-detached, and most townhouses — do not have condo fees. The owner is responsible for all maintenance and repairs. Freehold is the most common form of ownership for ground-level housing in Ontario.
